Things I Would Not Want To Live Without

Photo Via Unsplash.com

Today I have a rather hard assignment. I have to list three things that are luxuries that I would not want to live without. So here we go.

1. Cameras

Photo via unsplash.com

Yeah, I know you don't really have to have cameras in this world, but I am SO happy to have mine. Taking photos is pretty much my favorite thing in the world other then writing so far as hobby's go.

2. Laptops

Seriously, I can write on them, listen to music, post on my blog, view all my photos and communicate with my friends. It just doesn't get much better then that. I love having a laptop to use. Such as the one I am typing this post on. ;D

3. Chapstick

Yeah, this one seems rather silly, doesn't it? But I love chapstick. I use it a lot and trying out new brands is super fun. This year a friend of mine got me my first thing of EOS chapstick and I LOVE it.

So, what are some of your favorite luxury's?

My Favorite Place For Vacation

Well, one of my favorite vacations I ever went on was to Colorado. I have not had the pleasure of going back yet, but I will be soon.
The mountains are so relaxing, and the views unbeatable. True, I was seven last time I went, so I was not able to really appreciate a lot of it, but it was still awesome. Living in Texas does not give me many opportunity's to see mountains, so they are incredible to me.
Though to me, getting out anywhere, seeing new things, and visiting new places is awesome. Getting out gives me a new perspective on what I left behind and makes me eager to get back to it so I can fully appreciate it like I never have before.

What is your favorite place to vacation?

My Morning Routine

All photos in this post courtesy of Unsplash.com

My morning changes a lot, but here is how it typically looks:

7:30: I get up and get dressed.

7:40: I make my bed, then I read in my bible.

8:00: I feed the dog and then I do my workout program

8:30: I eat a breakfast typically of watermelon while checking my email, and all social medias.

9:00: once I'm done catching up on reading blog posts and what everyone else is doing, I write my own blog posts and long emails.

9:30: this is when I typically have my reading time. Or I write letters. I read till lunch.

And that is my morning routine, whats yours?

Tips About My Favorite Hobby

Hello! Mikayla here, and I’m going to share with you my top five tips on photography!

1. Often times the same photo at one time is a complete flop,
but if you wait for the lighting to change, becomes much better. So watch your lighting and make sure it’s really how you want it. Cloudy days are especially good because you don’t get a lot of shadows!

2. Try new stuff.
Whether you’re a newbie, or you’re an old pro, or anywhere between, trying new stuff is always good. It helps keep your photography fresh and you inspired. Try creative blocking, or a whole new angle, or photographing a subject that you’ve never done before.

3. Don’t let others get you down.
When I first started photography, I was encouraged by my family a lot. But after a few years, I started having other people criticize my photography. They told me all my photos looked alike, I took too many, and I had to learn lots of technical stuff to take a decent photo. You can’t just throw what they say out the window. Think on it some. But guys, photography is an art, and you have to find your style. Some people aren’t going to like that. I’m not saying their wrong, just that you have to decide for yourself.

4. Start where you are and use what you can.
Despite what people will tell you, or you may believe, you do not need a fancy camera to get great photos. Weather you own an Iphone, a small camera, or a camera worth hundreds of dollars, just start with that! You can generally get out of cameras what you put it. I was told lots of times that I could cox more out of our little family camera than anyone else could. That was because I played with it until I got the result that I wanted. So start where you are, use what you can, and then you can start thinking about upgrading.

5. Sometimes it is necessary to look ridiculous for the cause.
It’s sad but true. Sometimes you have got to lie on your stomach in wet grass to get a photo, or crouch really low. Sometimes you’ve got to make a silly face to make a kid smile, sometimes you’ve got to stand on beds. Sometimes you’ve got to hang over a railing, and you have to sit down in the oddest places. In rare cases you may even have to stack chairs and books on top of each other to take a family photo. But guys, its worth. Every soaking outfit and cramped legs and weird look was worth it because that’s what it takes to get a good photo. One of my best photoshoots I had to sit down in running water to do.

My Favorite Hairstyle

Hello everyone! Mikayla here with my favorite hairstyle. Or hairstyles as the case may be. I have three that I do on a regular bases. So here are my top three:

Number 1:
Down with a headband.

If you meet me, this is probably the hairstyle you will see, because I just love having it down. Although you will probably not see my hair looking this great. I don't know how it happened to look this amazing for the photo, but believe me, it normally does not look like that.

Number two: Side braid.

This is my simple go-to when I need it out of my way during projects. Also it keeps it off my neck on hot days.

Number three: A twist.

This is my lazy braid. It takes me about twenty seconds to put this in my hair. Which explains the clump of hair that's not in the braid.

So, what's your favorite hairstyle?

My Favorite Meal

This week we're posting on our favorite meals!

Well, if your hadn't guessed from the photo my favorite meal is Spaghetti. I love it, because its easy to make and it tastes so good! Put some garlic bread with it, a salad, and a glass of unsweetened tea with lemon in it, and you have got my perfect meal. Bonus if its followed up by chocolate chip cookies. =)

What's your favorite meal?
