And If Not, He Is Still Good

This quote comes from Daniel 3:17-18 "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if He does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up"

I'm going to guess that your familiar with the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. (Or Rack Shack and Benny) ;) They said this just before King Nebuchadnezzar had them tied and thrown into the furnace.There are a lot of things you can learn from this story, but I'm only going to go over one today.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego knew that even though God could save them, He might not, and even if He didn't, He was still the good and just God that He was before.

From this we can learn that when we ask God for something, and he doesn't give it, that He still good and just.

If something tragic happens in your life, instead of wondering why God would let something so bad happen, remind yourself that He is still just as good and loving as He was before.

This post has been on my heart for a little while, and even though it's short, I hope it makes an impact on someone.

I've always loved the song "He Knows My Name" Here are some of the lyrics.

What I hear from these songs is that I am special in His eyes.

I don't need anyone else's approval because God has already approved me: special, adored, beautiful,

I'm His.

My confidence, my strength, my approval, my life, my encouragement, my compliments, and my love comes from Him: "I'm His"

You are His.

Happiness is Free

Hey everyone! Maddy here! It's great to be back and we're all starting to post again!

I love the picture that I found above. Really guys, happiness is f.r.e.e. We get to choose if we're going to be happy or not. Think about it though, do we really have a reason to not be happy? We have family, friends, food, clothes, Jesus, and much more, yet we still long for more. We get sad when we don't get to go somewhere that we really wanted to go to, one of your siblings may have something that you wish that you had, and they're many any things that make us wish that we had or can do. We have more that many people though, and we should always be happy and thankful for it. I know that it can be hard to always be all bright and happy but can you really stop and think about all that you have, and not be happy for it? Guys, be happy for what you have, smile often, and love others! You'll be amazed on how other people around you will reacted.
