Hello! I'm Mikayla, a child of God, living with my awesome parents and five siblings in countryside of Texas.
I will be posting here twice a month on Mondays and Wednesdays.
One of my biggest hobbies is writing. Most evenings you can find me writing while I'm either curled up on the couch or at the dining table. My favorite things to write are stories that really could happen. I love making characters that I can relate to, and I hope others can as well. I write mostly contemporary fiction but I dabble in comedy and historical fiction.
I'm also an avid nature photographer. I love taking photos of pretty much anything outside. I also do a bit of portrait photography. Recently I was also blessed with an opportunity to do my first baby photo shoot.
In most of my spare time I can be found reading. Aside from the Bible, my favorite book is Annabeth's War by Jessica Greyson. Some of my other favorites are Treasures in the Snow, Rainbow Garden, Emma, Dear Mr. Knightly, Jack and Jill, and Kate's Innocence.
Some random (yet important) things about me: I am homeschooled (and loving it). My favorite color is purple. I love quotes, and I have them hanging up all around my room. I also love dogs (I love my Australian Shepherd, Luke).
