Meet My Pets

Hey y'all!

It's Allie, and this week I'm going to post about my pets.

My family has a dog, and I have a dog of my own.

Our family's dog is Riley.

Riley is a Yorkshire Terrier, who is almost seven years old.

Riley loves finding things to hunt in the backyard, like the beach ball in the pool, or the lizard in between the hoses.

If my dad goes outside Riley is right underneath his feet to go out too.

Riley is small, about seven pounds, but he thinks he's big, he also thinks he's a human.

If there are dogs on the TV, Riley is right there to bark at them ferociously.

When his hair grows long enough, I like to give him a little ponytail on the top of his head, because his hair is often in his eyes.

Riley's favorite words are lizard, squirrel, camping, cheese, bone, and treat.

Riley doesn't really like it when you snap, clap, or flick your finger near him, he starts barking.
Riley has surprised us many times, but recently, when we were at the lake, he was walking in the water and we would through things in, like little sticks or pinecones, and he would try to get them in his mouth and bring them back to us! He has always hated water, but for some reason he has enjoyed being in the water at the beach and lake lately.  I've claimed that it's his mid-life crisis, because he's in his mid 40s, in dog-years of course. Do dogs go through mid-life crises?

My dog is Ellie, she is mentioned often in my posts, here are some posts about her.

Ellie is a Beagle and Basset Hound mix, who is about 2 or 3.  She is a rescue dog so we don't know her birthday.

Ellie loves to tear up toys, eat, and run.

She licks her paws, and occasionally when she's on the couch, she licks it to get it clean.  She is definitely the cleanest dog I know! :)

Ellie is sweet and she knows that I am her "Mommy".

Ellie loves belly rubs and bones.

She is fun-loving, adorable, sweet, and she loves hugs.

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

  2. I could stare at Ellie for life. Like Ellie the beagle. Not me. :P Rudo does the same thing. He licks his paw a lot and used to lick the couch until it was drenched.
